
Amanda Bittencourt Cardozo

Speech therapist specializing in dysphagia and language (CRFª), collaborator in the SARAH network of rehabilitation hospitals, 40h/DE since 2019 in the Rio de Janeiro unit. She works mainly in the area of outpatient pediatric neurological rehabilitation, in the population diagnosed with cerebral palsy, myelomeningocele and genetic syndromes. At the institution, she is a member of the local scientific research support committee, which has the role of promoting scientific conferences, introductory workshops and encouraging collaborators who wish to improve their performance in scientific research, serving as support in the preparation and submission of projects to ethics committees.
She is currently pursuing a doctorate in linguistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where she also has a master's degree (2023). She is interested in studies on atypical acquisition and language disorders, mainly in children and those with associated neurological diagnoses. She has a degree in speech therapy from UFRJ (2016), is a specialist in orofacial motricity and hospital care in the multidisciplinary residency modality from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2019), having completed an exchange at the Federal University of Santa Catarina as a resident speech therapist at the Polydoro Ernani University Hospital in São Tiago (2018). She has a postgraduate degree in language with an emphasis on learning disorders and educational performance from FAMOSP/CEFAC-SP (2022).
